James John Magner is a writer of novels and plays and has been the author of a popular art column for the Hill Rag, “Art and the City,” since 2002. He is also a painter, with works in private, corporate, and government collections, and has won numerous awards for both painting and creative writing. Magner has been a legislative assistant to a US Senator, a government relations counselor, and a teacher. He is also a decorated Vietnam veteran, an experience he recalls in his memoir, A Haunting Beauty: Vietnam Through the Eyes of an Artist. His latest book is called The Dead Man in the Road: A Sky Pirates Adventure.
