Kim Roberts is an award-winning poet, literary historian, and editor who is the author of A Literary Guide to Washington, DC: Walking in the Footsteps of American Writers from Francis Scott Key to Zora Neale Hurston (University of Virginia Press, 2018), and five books of poems, including, most recently The Scientific Method. She is the editor of the newly-published By Broad Potomac’s Shore: Great Poems from the Early Days of our Nation’s Capital, which includes works by more than 130 poets who lived and worked in DC in the 19th century, and she co-edits the web exhibit DC Writers’ Homes.
